Goal

To increase the number of competent and active peacebuilding practitioners in West Africa, thus increasing the possibilities of achieving reconciled, just, and stable societies in the sub region. Such stable societies, it is assumed, will serve as incentives for socio-economic development activities.

Strategic Objectives

o Develop action-oriented capacity for conflict transformation and peacebuilding
o Increase the number of competent, informed and active peacebuilding practitioners in West Africa
o Provide quality training in peacebuilding similar to that available in Europe and America but at a reduced cost
o Develop indigenous models of conflict transformation and peacebuilding suited to the contextual realities of West Africa that can be integrated with existing models
o Bridge the gap between policy and practice in peacebuilding
