Second Stakeholders Meeting on Bawku Peace Process

Sequel to the first stakeholders brainstorming meeting held on March 21st 2012 to review the current dynamics of the Bawku conflict and develop strategies to bring the parties to the conflict back to the negotiation table to ensure peaceful 2012 elections, WANEP organized the second meeting on May 30th at its office in Abelemkpe, Accra to pursue the same objective. Organised with financial support from the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA), the meeting was attended by distinguished personalities including the Amir of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission, Dr. Maulvi A. Wahab Adams; the President of the Catholic Bishops conference, Rev. Dr. Osei Bonsu; two representatives of the Chief Imam, Sheikh Nuhu Sharubutu; delegates from the Ghana Pentecostal & Charismatic Council (GPCC); UNDP-Ghana; WANEP-Ghana and WANEP Regional Staff........
