The 2nd Semester ECOWARN Coordination Meeting took place at Hotel “Belle Cote” in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire from 16th to 19th August 2010.
The Coordination meeting brought together 40 participants drawn from the fifteen West African countries including ECOWAS Early Warning Department (EWD), Government Focal Points (Monitors/Reporters on the system) as well as key WANEP regional secretariat staff, the 4 Zonal Coordinators and the Country Focal Points. While the ECOWAS EWD was lead by its Director; Colonel Yoro Kone , the WANEP delegates were lead by the Executive Director; Mr. Emmanuel Bombande.
