Alimou Diallo

Mr. Alimou Diallo Alimou Diallo is the WANEP Liaison Coordinator to ECOWAS embedded in the Early Warning Directorate of the ECOWAS Commission since July 2015. Prior to this, he served at the WANEP Head Quarter in Accra, Ghana as the Regional Coordinator for nine years in charge of the institutional development of WANEP national offices across West Africa. He has 15 years of work experience with international NGOs including the American Refugee Committee International in Guinea where he provided five-year humanitarian relief services to refugees from Liberia and Sierra Leone.

Mr. Diallo holds a Master of Public Administration (2017) from the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom, while he studied Literature in English for his first degree in Sierra Leone. He holds a Diploma in Peace and Security in Africa from the UPPSALA University, Sweden; a Certificate in Ceasefire Mediation and Management from the Norwegian Defense University College, Oslo, Norway; a Certificate in Religion and Mediation from the Centre for Security Studies, ETH Zurich, Switzerland; a Certificate in Gender and Active Non-Violence from the Women Peacemakers Program, the Netherlands; and tens of Certificates in Peacebuilding, Early Warning and Peace Education and Peace Support Operations, mainly from the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre in Accra, Ghana.

Mr. Diallo has contributed to the publication of 14 policy briefs and 5 articles in peacebuilding, gender and civil society organizations. He is fluent in oral and written English and French and proficient in Arabic.
