Chukwuemeka B. Eze

Dr. Chukwuemeka B. Eze is the Executive Director of West Africa Network for Peacebuilding; the largest peacebuilding network in Africa with offices in all the ECOWAS member states and headquarters in Accra Ghana. Before now, he served as the Program Director at the WANEP Regional Office for 5 years and as National Network Coordinator for WANEP-Nigeria for 7 years. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Master’s and Doctorate Degrees in Peace and Strategic Studies. Between 2016 and 2017, he served as Senior Adviser on Mediation and Political Dialogue to the Special Representative of the UN Secretary General in Guinea Bissau.  He is the lead interface between WANEP, African Union and ECOWAS and developed the Early Warning System for the Peace Commission of the Government of South Sudan. Eze has 20 years’ experience in peacebuilding practice, political dialogue, early warning and conflict assessment. He is the pioneer Deputy Registrar and Fellow of the Institute for Chartered Mediators and Conciliators, a Fellow of the Society for Peace Studies and Practice (SPSP), and Fellow of the Danish Fellowship program in Copenhagen Denmark. He teaches peacebuilding practice at University of Utah in USA, Kofi Anna International Peacekeeping Training Centre and West Africa Peacebuilding Institute and he is a resource to the United Nations Development Program, Wilton Park in the United Kingdom and has serval journals, articles and books to his credit
