Strategic Priorities 2002:
Women in Peacebuilding Netwok (WIPNET)

At a special consultation held in Accra, Ghana with support from the Catholic Relief Services West Africa Regional Office, seventeen women active in peacebuilding in West and East Africa launched a West Africa Women in Peacebuilding Network. WIPNET’s specific goal is to develop twenty women in the age range of 20-40 as competent peacebuilding trainers, researchers, mediators and advocates over a five-year period. In 2001, training and mentoring will be the core strategies for the realization of the goal of this project.
