Annual
Report 2001
Obituary:
Adieu
Doris
Half way through the year 2001, Mrs Doris Bonsi (Nee Amoah), WANEP
Office Assistant, started complaining of a frequent illness, which
intermittently kept her off work. She was therefore asked to take
a sick leave to enable her recuperate, but it was to no avail.
Eventually the illness dragged into her annual leave. We were
praying and looking forward to seeing her strong and healthy again
but that did not materialise. On December 2, 2001 the cold hands
of death denied us the chance to see her again. She passed away
in her hometown, Likpe in the Volta Region of Ghana. She was buried
on December 8, 2001.
The charming and graceful Doris Bonsi joined the family of the
West Africa Network for Peacebuilding, as an Office Assistant
in 1999. She was very hardworking and punctual. She never got
tired or complained of working and whenever she was absent, her
absence was always felt. We would miss her and all that she meant
to us all. Adieu Doris!
She leaves behind a widower, a beautiful daughter and especially
WANEP, which she was so loyal and dedicated to.
MAY SHE REST IN PERFECT PEACE!
